4.45am is a bit brutal. I got up late and have just put on the dishwasher, washing machines and the rubbish out. A bit late today, must have been the atmospheric pressure .. Still hear rain dripping from one or two pipes.

Have you eaten these Caroline Reapers? The scoville amount is staggering.. Going to sort out my hellebores today .Well, at least some of them.

Yes i have eaten those chillies, but i don't put a lot in. I do some fried red onions with the chilli and garlic. Put that on top of dinner, chicken casserole or toad in the hole. Also on a Saturday,we have toast with baked beans, tin tomatoes fried egg, hubby has 2 sausages. I put the onions on that. I don't have a lot, because it gives me indigestion. Supposed to rain a bit here. Wendnesday going to be the worst. What are you going to do with your hellebores?

Good morning, @Verdun It's cold and overcast here and I have just finished my laundry .. Oh, dear! Should have waited..

Yesterday, whilst bargain hunting, saw police presence near the town centre. 2 people were shot and one stabbed .. in early morning and police cars were still there 11am.. Life is getting rough ..

Good morning @Zenj I wish I were a grandparent.. Isn't it nice to live by the sea. 9c is a bit cruel in high summer! No wonder your whole town went on holiday .. Can't blame them. My lovely dahlia is getting bigger and bigger and I have 8 cuttings with honey as growth hormone.

Have to go to post office - I had a rude awakening when an old lady said that we would have no bank as NatWest is leaving, Lloyd left already last month and post office will be closed. So no banks, no post office, 2 funeral parlours .. 2 chemists .. 5 coffee shops.. Life is getting difficult ...

Ever since I set my eyes on gaillardias, I wanted some. I bought tons of seeds, Arizona red and all that and nothing came of it. Such beautiful flowers, @Zenj .. Where did you buy your lotus lilies please? They are simply divine .. The rain hasn't battered them at all. I have now echinacea purpurea, pow wow and pallida (the last one not so sure .. I think I have) I'm going to see if I could increase the range of colours. I have yellow one, the red ones have died on me so has the white one.. Shame. I bought tons of them at 50p a pop at reduced section, only bare root though..

Stunning photos, @Zenj Thank you so much for sharing.

This is a huge begonia .. in a hanging basket on the floor as I have run out of hooks

Never plant your flower on the wrong side of the fence.. they have gone to my neighbour's side - and nobody is enjoying them.

Just this one flower. For some reason, the dahlias seem to be very slow coming up, or it could be that I have been impatient.
