Wow the colors are so vivid! I love the trollius, the shape if it unique, almost looks like a variety of water lily I have.

@tbendl The colour should be orange and it is a very beautiful flower, just perfect for next to your pond. They like moisture. It took me a 3-year wait to get to see them flowers. I bought 3 plants from ebay. Well chuffed and they have soooo many flowers. A vivid orange but my panny hasn't got enough details whilst Samsung has got details, but the viewfinder turns the colour to yellow :eek:

So I took pics with the 2 cameras.

It belongs to the Ranunculaceae family. If you want to buy, make sure it is Trollius Chinensis, not Europeana. I love mine no end. You can see my obsession. Need to tidy up my strepts before they get killed by 26 or 30C in my lean to..:cry:

In fact, @Larisa also has a beautiful one, a few pages back. The colour is divine.

I'm going to write this down. I am probably done with buying plants for this season. We are working on getting the grass to grow and....
hahahahaha no I'm not, I don't even know why I said that. I do have to take a short break though, must financially recover from my trip and all the plants I bought before I left. Hehe

@tbendl nice to have you back and those pics are amazing, especially the roses.
@alp your pics are amazing. You've got the orange colour of the trollius.
Just been watering the blueberries and rhubarb. Supposed to be very hot tomorrow. I've done all my weeding and tidying up so i can plant my calendula tomorrow.

@tbendl Try not to get carried away. Or you will be like me, plant a newly bought on top of an old one and kill the one underneath. I did it all the times.

I replenished the supply and sat for 15 minutes and got these, not the best, but good enough for me .. first time, I captured them in my own garden

Anybody knows what it is?

Logan do they do well in shade or full sun? I have some but they don't seem to be flowering so I'm wondering.

It is a flower. Can't remember the name. You remove all the slender leaves and can use the remaining bell shapes thingy for cut flower. That's how I remember it. This woman explained about how to make this plant lovely in a TV gardening programme. Definitely a flower. Just strip all the long slender leaves, @tbendl Soon, you will be very good at cut flower.

Hmmm well it's pretty neat looking. I've just been keeping an eye on it to see what it does. It's in a pot near the back of the pond which I was going to empty and plant new things in but instead, I'm waiting and seeing what happens.

It's actually quite unique. You could put it in your vase with other cut flowers and it is so distinctive. When the woman removed all the leaves which were long, the remaining bells look quite interesting. Worth keeping. I am sure you can make a lovely bunch of cut flowers with it.
