Morning all, @Upsy Daisy, that's good, you take it easy. Yes been windy here. Knee starts hurting when I've done too much. But getting there. Got to have it ajusted on Friday to 60deg, be able to bend it a bit more.thanks for asking. Got another 5 weeks, go back to the orthopedic in 5 weeks. But I've been doing some weeding,a bit at a time.

@Good morning to all

Lovely flowers. Love your clump of largurus ovatus... hare tail grass. They are quite gorgeous, aren't they?

Now I have just acquired the red potentilla and you are tempting me to buy another one. Yours have got a lovely flower. I must look out for that. Wish Morrisons would do that or even Poundland. Last time I went, there were no flowers .. What a let-down!

Glad that you're getting better, @Logan Think your dog needs you to walk him, don't you?

@alp Thanks yes my dog likes me to walk him. I think it's because i take him a different way. He doesn't like the way that OH goes. I tried to tell him before, but he wants to go the way that he wants to go and not the dog. I know that is right. But if the dog doesn't go. Tried Watching ceaser millan, but mostly only does aggressive dogs.:)

Morning you two! and to all who drop by:)

Well thanks for that @alp , didn't know the name ( no surprise there) of the grasses (y) My Dad's neighbour gave me seeds, as she knows that I go around harvesting them from everywhere!! Love them so much...very tactile! :)

@Logan good to hear that your recovery is progressing well and going as hoped, it a long haul but the end is in sight now(y):).

Have a Meaningful Monday folk:)

@Upsy Daisy Soon you could compile a book on alliteration ... You're getting so good at it. :D:LOL::ROFLMAO:

Need to rescue all my strepts as most of them are dying.:cry: One was flowering with its flower bent inside the shoebox. Do you lot get fed up with plants and pots in the kitchen.., I wonder?

Thankfully this year I didn't have to grow anything indoors....it drove me mad the year before !:mad:
This time I selected only those that didn't require too much fuss:)

But your plants are so gorgeous and exotic looking @alp, they deserve a lot of TLC (y).

Does anyone ever take photos of their whole garden. Close ups are nice but I would love to see the whole plants and the surrounding ones,?

@Jan if you go back a few pages, you can see @Upsy Daisy garden which is very nice. I don't go for my garden as it's constantly WORK IN PROGRESS (another word for being a mess!:p). I couldn't nail a frame straight so everything is a bit haphazard.. @Verdun's garden is gorgeous. You would think it's RHS Rossmore.. @Perki has some lovely borders .. Ah, @johnny canoe also shows his lovely garden with a lot of cultural artefacts.. Stick with us and you will certainly see some gems..

@Jan to some degree I agree with you as I like to see plantings and colour schemes ( not that I go that far !!) in their natural environment.....along with their neighbours:D:ROFLMAO:.

But seeing plants close up is also a great bonus for me as I can put a name to a ' flower face '...as I'm absolutely and utterly incompetent at remembering them:oops:

I can honestly say I learn a new name everyday with the help of ' close ups '(y):)

In addition to gardening yesterday I did some picture taking.
My bedroom patio :)

I also added a couple pictures to the Sunflower thread.

The picture taking was special, I was in the moment you might say. It was really awesome. I was relaxed, had some great music playing in the background, the lighting was good, I was into and proud of my handy work yet understood that I am merely a facilitator to all the beauty and it really was so far beyond me. I was lucky to just be a witness to it. It was an exceptional rare little place in time for a few minutes.

Beautiful GH, the patio is so pretty, and the sunflowers.
I love the purple flowers, it's all so natural, blending in with each other.

Good morning all! Whew I just did a quick perusal of the last 345 messages since I checked out and everyone's flowers and gardens are looking so pretty!
I was in Texas for a week at a conference and then spent a few days in New Orleans to go to a concert and now I am helping a friend move.
We did have some torrential rain and a lot of flooding while I was gone. I'm so tickled I missed it but my roses are BLOOMING LIKE CRAZY. Hehe, I left the hubby to "take care" of the plants and was a little terrified at what I'd come home to but with the exception of having to water a few of my plants that were under the roof, and having to plant my new cannas in the bog, all was happy and healthy.
It's good to be home!
