Pepper your lifestyle sounds much like mine lol
The older I get the more I just relish peace and nature and being away from crowds and noise.
Yes.. I'm not sure what happened? Seems like yesterday I was dressing in grunge listening to Nirvana at the after party from the local gigs. I still kind of do the grunge thing and still love Nirvana but also find myself more often then not shopping for clothes at Walmart and listening to the country radio station while sipping iced tea in my garden lol.

I guess squirrel is big in the US. I love it but there is no hunting season for them where I am. You need a fur trapping licence for them. I have a trapping licence but don't bother. You can shoot them if they are a "pest". I have a lot of pests here lol!
Like I said, no neighbors and no Game Wardens either. I shoot a deer or wild hog whenever I run out of meat. There isn't enough meat on a wild turkey to mess with. I will go into town about every 2 weeks if I need something. I hunt rocks and arrowheads mostly, take pictures of different things, mostly just roam around with my dogs looking at stuff. At one time I had more squirrels running around eating my vegetables and wiring on my house and truck than I could shake a stick at. There are still a few around but they have evolved into realizing my house and garden are dangerous to them.

No neighbors or game wardens, you are living my dream. I love rock hunting too. I don't take much pics because no where to share them. I've been loving this forum because I can take pictures and share them with people who have the same interest. My friends don't really share the love of nature I have.

My dad taught my son to hunt.
They target practiced on squirrels.
Before anyone gets upset about that it’s legal here and they are considered pests.
My grandpa was a rock hound.
He made tables and things out of rocks he’d spend days finding along the mountains and streams.
Pepper I still like Nirvana

That’s why I joined. My family and friends aren’t really into gardening. Though they enjoy the food I make with it all lol

This is one of the things my great grandpa made out of his rocks.
He made frames, clocks, tables etc.
cut off two of his fingers making one of them and kept going when he got home from the hospital lol

Wow! What a beautiful picture frame! I wonder what kind of stone it is? Cutting off fingers and getting back at it, that is a passion for making art!
