@zigs quite the bounty if they are edible. I am not much of an authority so I stay away from the mushrooms for general health purposes... ;)

The Fairy rings are edible, didn't pick any as they were on National Trust property.

That is a very cute name and they look like Fairy rings. I can see Tinkerbell zipping around them now. Wouldn't do to get arrested or fined for picking them.

Careful, you'll get Claudine going :D

They often grow in a local park too, i'm going past that tomorrow, ok to pick them there, they'll only get mowed down or trampled.

I can't believe I didn't see this thread until now. I will have some photos to share very soon. We are just about to burst into fall color here in the northeast part of the US. The maple trees are the first to change and we already have some vibrant reds and yellows happening. I have a lot of photos from the last couple years but I'll try and get some "fresh" ones for you soon.

Thank you for sharing all the photos. I sincerely love looking at them all and seeing what is happening everywhere else. It is beautiful where you live, Zigs.

I think all the pictures are on here are absolutely great and have already commented on some, but those little 'pumpkin people' Zigs are just so adorably cute.

Zigs - don't suppose you have some 'magic mushroom' pics to add to the mushroom and toadstool collection :D

Cheerio - am really looking forward to seeing your Autumn photos, especially as I live in an area where we are not lucky enough to experience Autumn color, as the landscape never changes from season to season, and of course, reddish purple hues are my favorite, favorite foliage color.

I've applied for a gardening job where the pumpkin people are :)

Not seen any psylocibin this year, probably a bit too small for my camera anyway. If its got a close up button, i've not found it yet.

Ta :)

It's really dark & overcast here today, went for a fungal forage in the woods but got beaten to it by a collecting group, they'd had most stuff away, did stumble across this though,

Looks like they were doing an id lecture, but then just left everything on the picnic bench:eek:

Hope they go back & clear it up, it'll be a slimey mess in a few days.

I love your pictures. I have never seen so many different shapes in mushrooms. I don't pick them when I see them growing since I can not tell which are safe and which one are not.

Do you do anything with the Honeysuckle when you pick it?

I am afraid of wild mushrooms because I just don't know which are safe and which are deadly. Besides, I am not a fan of eating them. I just cannot acquire a taste for them except for portobellos. I like those grilled.

Why in the world would they leave such a mess behind on the picnic table? They can't rightly call themselves naturalists because they would never do something like that. How rude!

I'm hoping they'd gone back & cleaned up.

Honeysuckle is just for looking at, the berries are poisonous.
