Hope you can switch off during night time, @Upsy Daisy !

We are sunny now. But we haven't finished with the rain yet. Feel so sorry for you, Zenji. Can't be nice up there. Rain and cold. Going to the garden to do some culling. Free up space for new seedlings.

Morning raining on and off, forecast downpours later then possible snow again and -2 over night. Water been running down the garden like a little stream last couple of days. Best wishes hope all well @Upsy Daisy

My strawberry runners and raspberry canes have turned up this morning, think I will venture into the GH and pot the strawberries up, not sure went to plant the raspberries with frost forecast over night, I know there are hardy but might wait till tomorrow evening.

You can plant them as long as the ground isn't frosted. I'd leave them in the package until tomorrow, or put them in a big pot outside. :)
I was thinking the same thing leaving them in the packaging, I've just put them outside for now , I'll bring them in later.

Been potting up the strawberries this afternoon, I got some extra free strawberry plants probably cause I've been waiting for ages. Its made another problem though, run out of troughs to plant them in and b&m haven't got anymore so potted up in small pots for the time being. The raspberries are going to have to wait till tomorrow evening.

Been GC and picked up another bag of john inns - salvia mainacht to go with kniphofia timothy and a tray of red pansy for one of the spring barrels. Very tempted by a ligularia Britt crawford but just can't find the space at the moment, for a plant that size I would have to get rid of another plant, I've already got 2 variety's of ligularia already so need to hold fire while I think of a plan

@Perki You've been working hard. I have a big lawn, but I don't really want to dig anything up at this stage. I have the same problem - not enough land. Pots I have millions. Why not put an advert in your local freewheely, I have tons of pots from one lady relocating to Dorset and I also went to collect from another lady down the roads. I have now nearly 500 or more pots. More than I know what to do with them.Advertise for big pots and see what you can get.

I bought a pink/white camellia and this morning, I saw a bloom and it turned out to be red. Went to diy store to get a refund. The woman said no as there might be disease from my garden. It has been in my lean-to the whole week. I refused to leave as the label say pink/white and not a red. I asked to see the manager and the woman just said disease and asked another staff to explain to me. In the end, another man told a staff member to refund me. Next time, I must buy a plant with a BLOOM! Save a lot of aggravation.

Perki you said you were after a certain raspberry. What is it called again please?

I've got all my raspberries now - erika - Joan J - Polka - All gold. I am not short of pots got stacks of them, I have ran out of 1 litre pots though, I have plenty they just got plants in them:) . Just trough I need not something I normally buy, I bought 6 from B&M a few weeks back for £2 each for the strawberries to keep them off the ground away from the slugs.

Strawberries are hardy plants, yours might be drying out ? They don't like being to hot either, it can affect flowering then fruit obviously
