Hello alp, sorry to read about your Begonias. I have my Pelargoniums in the GH and the heaters turned on at night. The snow is melting too fast here, flooding on my stretch of side walk because the curb further down the street is blocked with ice. More flooding in front of my GH which I use a scoop shovel to keep under control. I will go feed birds early, the path will be flooded but frozen so I can walk my bike across the bad spots. I have to be out of the bad areas before the late morning melt starts, I just washed my bike on Sunday.lol

No. A WHOLE box of seeds and all similar plants, but the lobelia seeds were collected by myself and when I didn't want to use them, they stared at me and now I stared at the box and they are nowhere to be seen.

@johnny canoe You might have to do something about your kerb. Energy bill in Canada must be cheap. I just couldn't bring myself to turn on the propagator for one whole night. Mind you, I might do it on Sunday when it is really cold.

If you have to walk, please walk on fresh snow and not compacted ice. I reckon you must have chained shoes, like those chained wheels I saw in the film In Order of Disappearance! LOL! Any way, enjoy yourself and wonder if the solar flare will affect your area. Apparently, Maine will be affected. No clue where Maine is.

Massive solar storm that will slam Earth TOMORROW could knockout power supplies, damage satellites and trigger stunning auroras
  • Nasa spotted a solar flare releasing a coronal mass ejection earlier this week
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a 'G1' storm watch
  • It coincides with the formation of 'equinox cracks' in the sun, which form around the equinoxes on March 20 and September 23 and weaken the magnetic field

"...could knock out power supplies."
OK, so I guess I will roll out my generator from the corner of my garage, make sure the tank is full, start it up to make sure it won't fail me. I haven't used it in about 6yrs.

Not to worry alp, I'm very smart when dealing with walking on ice and snow and biking on it. I've done it every winter, all winter, all my life.

I often want to look at the soles of your shoes to see how good they are. Son keeps moaning about slippery shoes.

Here comes Beast from the East Version 2

Oh snow! UK is hit by flood warnings as ‘Beast from the East 2.0’ will cover Britain in sleet and snow ‘almost everywhere’ this WEEKEND
  • Cold air is sweeping in from Siberia and Scandinavia, with the Met Office set to issue warning for snow over large parts of the country
  • Yellow warnings for heavy rain have been issued with the Environment Agency releasing flood alerts for the south west of England and Northern Ireland
  • It comes less than two weeks after the 'Beast from the East' and Storm Emma wreaked havoc across Britain and Ireland - causing huge travel disruption

Those names are lovely, but one can't associate the flowers or colours with the names. Any way, I might take some poetic licence and name them as such. That would be fun as they would be named by you, Logan!

Good morning, Logan and all - a mild morning and it's dry. Supposed to be a very good day before the snow. More work in the lean to and just started a bonfire.
