Another miserable day! But at least the highest is 11c or 10c. I shouldn't moan. @Tjohn and @johnny canoe have so many inches of snow! And for Tjohn, 21"! I'm dizzy just thinking of that!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!

Son is cooking meals for me the whole day. Wish every day a Mother's Day!

He took hints from @Zenji 's turning on the propagator at 15c and is now doing the same at night.

Thanks @alp Happy Mother's Day to. Good that your son is cooking today. I had a card from mine. It's always a combined mother's Day and birthday card. Because my birthday is on the 21st and he has to send it through the post.

Zenji: My son must have read your post and suggested to me, "Mum, from now on, I'm going to set the propagator temperature to 15c!"

15c has a familiar ring to it. Good that you will have a goodish day. High time!

Tomorrow, we will mourn as the whole day is rain, rain, rain and more rain... I don't mind as here in Essex, a good soaking is needed.

Remember, passport renewal fee is to increase the end of the month from £72.50 to £85. A good idea to get one this month. Mine is coming back tomorrow. Do it online and you can send your old passport on 2nd class. Much cheaper and faster. If you need help with photos, let me know. Always ready to help.

All meals cooked by son. But you know, there are times you really want to overtake everything. Any way, he now knows leeks are not spring onions! I encourage him to do more cooking. Had aromatic duck for dinner.

Tomorrow is a rain off! Today, more bamboos planted. I had to watch Pride and Prejudice again. I know, I'm hopeless. Colin Firth actually stood on the door in front of the lawn I captured in Photo of the month. I was thrilled to see him standing there with Belton House as background. I hope I have not broken the rules. That's was a lovely backdrop.I suspect Pemberly is actually Lyme Park. Brought back lovely memories!

I have been checking in now and then to see what you have all been up too!.

I have had a day in the greenhouse sowing seeds.Despite it pelting down with rain ( and sounding like I was under a waterfall) it was actually quite cosy.

Had nice long chats on the phone with my ' boys'.......so all in all it was a perfect Mothers Day ,
