@alp they are pretty I know, but mine grew to be 4ft tall.....and there are now millions of them all over the garden!!! Hubs is quite calm about it...compared to me!! The lawn is just a solid mass of them too! Never want to see another one as long as I live! You may think I'm overeacting......wait till you see some pics tomorrow!!! Apparently you have to be careful how you remove them because it can stimulate even more growth below ground!

Upsy - You really have to impress upon your hubs that the eradication of the daisies will take some time. I remember seeing them at the far end of my garden. At that point, I said they had LEGS migrating at night!
He knows!!!!!!......he's been Googling too!! He did manage to get rid of all the Ground Elder that we once had. Just hate the fact that my stupidity has given him another huge job to tackle.....and he loves his lawn so much too!:cry:

Good morning: Woke up earlier, but the air outside the duvet was so cold, really didn't want to get up, especially when I have to struggle with the front size!

4' tall! Ooops! That's bad. This reminds me of the rudbeckia like yellow flowers which also grew to 5' tall and have masses of roots crisscrossing the whole lawn. Trim the flower seeds first might help. And perhaps apply some weedkiller locally.

4c outside. No wonder I didn't really want to get up.

Revealed: How the so-called sunshine vitamin could cut migraine attacks

Taking a daily vitamin D supplement could cut the number of migraine attacks dramatically, according to the results of a new trial.

Vitamin D is dubbed ‘the sunshine vitamin’ because it is produced in the skin after exposure to sunlight.

The treatment nearly halved the attacks patients suffered during a six-month trial — with those taking the daily supplement (and no other medication) going from having migraines more than six days a month to just three.

Hope it helps. The best is of course, free - stay in the sun when it is mild and gentle! Simple! No advert!

Incidentally, it has been so cold that I am in my knee-length jacket. I found something heavy in the pocket and found my son's whole bunch of keys (including car key) which had disappeared for well over a month. I will have earache as soon as he gets up! Ahhhhhhhhhh! Help!!!!!!!

Very cold night , hate getting out of a a snug ,warm bed to have an early morning shower brrrrr!! Thankfully we have the heating on but it hasn't really got going yet!

Oops about the keys, but on the positive side at least you now have them !!

Hubs has an appointment this morning so I will go to my Dad's. Will tackle the nightmare this afternoon....won't mentioned it's name.

Dread to think how many migraines I'd have if I stopped mine then:eek:
Have a good day:)

Yes, I know. It's just so cold. I nearly wanted to open my small bedroom window to air the house! I have my thermal socks on now and I'm changing into dark colour joggers as it is far too cold to be in polyester material. I won't switch on the heater until after the Indian summer. So glad that it's at least not raining or cold.

For nasty weed, I spray locally with Resolva, right into the stems. You must load a photo of these evils lurking around. I don't think I have the same Ox-eye daisies as yours. I know I shouldn't use chemicals, I will try vinegar and salt next time. Had more Amistad cuttings. Strange that they have no seeds.

I know, Zenj . Lots of casualties. For mine, I literally have had too many pots of anemones as I was worried that they might go everywhere. As Perki said, WSwan won't fly, but others like Charlotte or Prinz Heinrich, they have roots and new shoots all around the pots. The heat waves killed quite a few of them. Such a dream that your Swans were doing well. I remember them flowering last year and yet this year, I saw the totally dry pot with Sarah Raven's label. Can't blame her. I left it in amongst tons of pots and it died on me. They are indeed very pretty!

Ox eye daisies are very pretty, but mine is much shorter than Upsy's and they are more or less under control. Probably not planting them in a south facing hot border will curb them a bit. Once the heat and sun get them, they are in their elements. Same as Acanthus mollis.

I took a propane torch to the garden today. It was very satisfying burning seedheads off weeds. I hope it is easier than regular weeding. It finally is dropping below 90f during the day so here we grow again!

Yes, all daisies off the limit. The chamomiles have gone crazy and self seeded in the narrowest of gaps in the slab paving! Just finished 1/3 of the job and this man walking his dog, shouting to me, "Have you not finis
