Evening, dried up this afternoon but still windy but back to wind and rain this evening. Looking at some new plants for next year but hate paying multiple P+P why can't one seller have all the plants I want . Really peeved with Lidl still no alliums bulbs and I can't get out to raid another Lidl for any either.

Thinking about subscribing to Gardens illustrated magazine, used to get the GWorld magazine but didn't find enough interesting content in them.

In the posh town, all the allium bulbs were sold out, but if you go a bit beyond, you could be in luck. Hard to say. In Ilford, there were loads, but I was shocked by the price. I think once I have seeds, they will be everywhere. They literally flower the following year even from seeds. I couldn't keep up ripping up the Christophiis. That's the trouble with buying from mail order. Each one has one or 2 items and the postage eats up .a lot of money. Are there any gcs round you, @Perki ? I think you're lucky that you ride motorcycle and it's easy to move around shops!

Yes, true! I wanted a plum tree and that required special packaging going into my Nissan. In the end, I have 2 fruits.

Good morning, there is a distinct chill in the air, but it is quite warm here in my living room. Need to hunt for my loose bulbs and put them in a big tub or 2 and just let nature take its course.

Good morning everyone!
Grey start here with a wind still blowing but very mild and muggy, we had all the big windows open upstairs last night. Now have the downstairs ones open as well.

Might lift a few more summer bulbs today to make room for the winter/ spring ones. Must say that as I'm posting this the sky has darkened considerably, might have rain on the way
Have a bad headache so hope not...as I need fresh air to help clear it.(y)

Have a good day.:)

combustible' cabbage??

source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...xes-hidden-horrors-supermarket-fruit-veg.html

What they DON'T tell you on the label: How chlorine sprays, chemical washes and shiny waxes that can catch FIRE are just some of the hidden horrors being put on your supermarket fruit and veg

    • Tina DeMille, 52, posted video on Facebook setting fire to 'plastic' cabbage
    • Herbicide and plant growth regulator approved for use in the EU on fruit and veg
    • Chlorpropham is used on potatoes to prevent their sprouting during storage
    • Modified Atmosphere Packaging to get oxygen out of ready-to-eat stir fry packs

      shocking truths!

I tried to post, but forgot about clicking the button!

I remember hightlighting the text blue. If I posted again, please forgive me! You're lucky to have rain.

Not here. I'd better start again. This formatting is weird!

Oh, yes! You're going to have some useful rain and to a much lesser extent, probably me if the rain is potent enough, which I doubt. I need the rain badly. Already 4 butts are empty!

No wind so far! Wonder if Perki's reservoir has been filled up now! Quite a bit of rain there!
