Yes, last night, my legs hurt badly. Today, they haven't bothered me. Out sorting out the cheap reed fencing. Of course, now I wish I had bought the bamboo. This one is s joke!

Lost the bid for another galanthus yesterday. What's wrong with me?

19c in the greenhouse?? @Perki , do us a favour, send some heat this way! LOL!

@Mark56 I don't have a greenhouse at all. I have a lean to. All the builders wanted me to build it in glass and I showed them all the golf balls and they went mute, so now the lean to is longer a total conservatory. Your patens look very well indeed. I, on the other hand, are very straggly. A pure yellow stem collapsing sideway. Yours look much better than mine. Well done!

Great photo of the cougar! We only have bobcats here, but there are cougars in the Big Bend National Park. In early spring (now) a cougar is occasionally sighted near habitations in South and south Central Texas.

Spring has almost arrived on our farm. The paperwhites are blooming all over; we have dandelions, to the chickens delight; and I got the fourth raised bed cleaned and prepped. I may plant green beans today if I don't have to mow the back yard. Husband has been eyeing the front, orchard, and barn lots, so he may get on the riding mower and spend the afternoon cutting grass. If so, I'll do the back yard so everything looks tidy, or at least less messy!

Love paperwhites! They should be indoors where the perfume just permeates the whole room. Bliss! Mine flowered indoors and were very straggly and yet the fragrance was not unforgettable.

Glad that you're thinking of all this sowing. I'm still a still scared. I definitely won't plant anything out so early. I have learned my lesson.

Perki: cucamelon is for wimps! LOL! It hasn't got a lot of taste and is too small. I had it once and that's me.

Johnny: What a handsome animal! Hope you're armed when you go out. The cold must have made life difficult for them.

2 hours of work and the reed fence is done. Not very pretty, but certainly better than before. Plant up the front with bamboos, ivy and various bits and pieces. Tomorrow I am growing to sow some aubretia seeds and hopefully they look nice in that corner.

Alp, we do have a bouquet of paperwhites in the living room, and another in the dining room. The fragrance is heady!
Perki, I agree that Sungold is the best salad tomato. We have tried different varieties, but always return to red and gold Sungolds. They are sweet, but still taste like a tomato, and are just beautiful in a salad, or sliced in half and lightly sauteed in olive oil and arranged around a pork roast or chicken breast.
Upsy, cougars will attack humans if they feel cornered or threatened. And of course, never get near a cougar if she has kits!

Hubby's mended the vaccum. He followed a video on utube, it wasn't easy getting the cover off,but he did it in the end.

Couldn't get hold of the plumbers who put the boiler in. So phoned somebody else,he said because it was still under warranty best to talk to baxi. Somebody's coming on wednesday, they'll phone in the morning to say what time.

I'm enjoying the third day of sunshine in a row! Been busy out in the greenhouse. It gets really hot out there on days like this. I've got the gas heater running at night and put my hot pepper seedlings out there. They seem to like the natural sunlight.
