No, don't be scared, But just two big chunks if you're scared. Wash it clean and you will see there is nothing to be scared. I might take a video for you to see as I need to split some soon. It take ages to raised something from seeds unless you're growing Sweet Pepperdew pepper - 2 months from seeds to peppers!

:LOL::LOL:. I don't think you split the clump. You just tease them apart. I did some hydrangea cuttings and it was so hot that I had to beat a retreat. My lean to door is hot to the touch! I hope nothing is going to explode! I am dreading it.

Did Mother of Pearl, Hydrangea Zorro, H Quercifolia, H Cancan and then I sweated like a pig. Heavens have mercy on me and me plants please!

Who ever said gardening was relaxing must have had a artificial lawn and plastic plants ! Lol:)

When it's hot like this and no water for them, I secretly wish I had those.. or just concrete the whole garden.:cry::cry:

Stay out of the sun! Met Office issues Amber heatwave alert warning people not to go outdoors, draw curtains and keep windows shut as Mediterranean Melt brings heat approaching 101F
  • An amber warning is being issued by the Met Office telling Britons to stay out of the sun and help the elderly
  • An air plume from Africa and the Mediterranean will force temperatures above the 86F (30C) mark, all week
  • Met Office forecasters confident that Brits will be treated to at least 95F (35C) heat on Thursday and Friday
  • Temperatures will hit 32C on both Monday and Tuesday, and then up to 34C for Wednesday, it is expected
My son has got all the wind screen silver foil materials from the cars and told me to use them. I am using one on my bay window.:cry::cry:

I hope you're not taking the whole thing up. You could use a breadknife and after serious watering, work around the edges. I will send postage and you can post 3 small clumps to me.Hehe!

Hahaha! Have you seen Garden Rescue? It was tough going initially as Charle nearly covered half of the screen and I wanted to chop off her hair. But no, she is seriously GOOD and she always follows the brefs! They only used a small JCB. Amazing how much better and how useful it is negotiating the matchbox size houses in this country.
