When our house was built, all the unwanted building stuff was dumped on our front garden. Bags and bags of sand,roof tiles and bricks. Round the side of the house is just sand.

Good morning to all: Yes, I only found out that the middle patch dug up by me was a burial ground for big broken slabs. One was so big that digging it up disturbed my knautia and that was the end of this bee magnet. It hasn't self seeded and this year, I don't want to have too many trays hanging around.

It's nice having to grow seeds, but it can become a obsession. I'd do a few at a time that way won't get casualties on the way.

Beautiful morning here, frost on the ground and an all blue sky!!!

Back is still niggling me so will pace myself with my Dad's housework today.

Will be out all day today, so no gardening for me . Will need to sow more sweet peas as mine were eaten, I think. Never sowed them late autumn/ early winter before, but thought that I would try it........ Hey Ho !!you learn by your mistakes!

Eaten by what? Do you know. I have found holes in my flower bed as well. Someone must be active at night. All three meconopses gone.

Go easy on your back. See if you can apply some Deep Heat to ease it a bit. Par of my bum still hurts from the exercise on the bike. It's very difficult to shift the dull pain.

Probably mice @alp, they like to nibble away on young shoots. I will leave the pots and see if anything emerges.....But sadly I doubt it

Morning all a lovely sunny day here grand parenting duties today so we will take them for a walk along the beach, end up at the arcades and finish with fish and chips or Ice creams mmm which they will have to be a vote .
