@Upsy Daisy yes enjoy their presents.;)(y)
Yes couldn't put up with the defrosting.
@alp couldn't you find a place that does spare parts for fridges. Here there's a place called Reddi Spares. All you need is the number of the fridge. Or you could try online. I've had spare parts for my cooker. It's about 30years old, had to have a new seal around the oven door and the latch had brocken,i couldn't close it well.

I wish I hadn't chucked my Continental one. It's a Jap make and there was nothing wrong with it. I was corrupted with having everything new in a new kitchen and hence having a 2nd rate one replacing a perfecting good one. Shame .. but I am already thinking of buying a new electric one. Gas fire oven is rubbish .. I must have been mental ..

Love your kitchen and greenhouse @CanadianLori ...... is that a rifle ( or two!) propped up by you door?

Those are pellet rifles. We have a real problem with raccoons. They aren't strong enough to penetrate the skin, just give them a nasty sting in the behind. Mine's the pink one :) I'm a very good shot. I use a small postit note with a target drawn on it for practice.

The greenhouse is 3 feet from the back door. I do have window film in there. Tried greenhouse bubble wrap years ago but discovered I can get a tighter seal with the film - you know the stuff you tape to the window then use a hairdryer to shrink and tighten up. I replaced one side last year and will do the same on the other this coming year. Too expensive to do all at once.

I have a natural gas heater in there that is quite capable of heating the space to sweaty but it is too costly to run it after November and before April.

We are expecting a high of 29f today and just under 8 hours of daylight. But hey everybody, we're at the shortest day. It only gets better from here on - the countdown to spring. Yippee!!

It can only be good news - the shortest day is OVER! I hope you win your lottery, Lori.. Every little helps. Life is so much more exciting with any win to look forward to.

Physio was boring and I just induced myself to sleep. I hope I didn't snore:eek:. Nobody gave me a nudge. I mustn't do that again. I didn't bother about the exercise, just sneak out after 1 and a half hour.

Oh dear @alp ! Sorry to hear that the physio didn't work out :(

Were you given a list of the appropriate exercises to do at home ?

Well that's the shortest day done and dusted :D:D:D:D

OH dear, it wasn't like that when i had my physio.
There was only about 6 people there and 1 person in charge. He wouldn't have let me do nothing. Have you got any to do at home?

Good morning all. Yes, a list of exercises which I will do today. As son was waiting to drive me home. If I stayed for the exercises, it would be another half an hour. So I skipped. I will start the exercise and get the bike in. But I don't have a Victorian house, and it's too small for the bike.

Going to get some smoked prociutto ham from Asda, some veg tomorrow from Tesco. May be a salmon or two from Morrisons.

Chicken for tonight to free up the freezer.

Just missed up, Logan. There were about 20 people and 2 people in charge. Before we could do any exercise, we were told to fill in a form which she never gave me .. 2 sides of an A4. I just sneaked out. The end of the day, if I don't do the exercises, I won't help myself. I just took the booklet home.

I can't blame the man who wouldn't let you do anything. Your leg had healed properly, I guessed.

Going to tidy up the garden once it's stopped raining.
