Wet here today....no walk to the beach :(.......but already clearing with some sun promised.
Can be confusing these eryngiums ...two of my favourites are Jade Frost with superb variegated foliage and velvety purple flowers and Big Blue which has very blue foliage and dark flowers :)

I am a bit wary of eryngiums as they self seeded everywhere in my front garden. They just love the heat and the drought ..and will grow in the cracks between my brick pavings.

Evening all, got to take Barley to the vets sometime tomorrow. Noticed that he's got a broken back tooth. Don't know how he did it, they don't have bones. I know this may sound silly but, Bracken had a broken tooth 6 months before he was diagnosed with leukemia.
Been taking up a pair of velvet curtains, their a nightmare to do, because of the pile of the fabric. It was moving when i was sewing them.

Oh, no! Are they related? From the same parents? That sent a chill down my spine. :cautious: Hope the vet gives you good news.

Last night, my laptop played up until 7.30pm. It was frustrating. I kept pressing F2, F10, and F12.. What a nightmare. Just asked the laptop to default to original in F9 and what a relief, I got it back.

After that, watched The a word. I felt so sad that when I asked my son if he mixed with other kids in primary school, he said no and that he was worse than that boy in the series. He said he was punished for his temper and odd outbursts - I don't think he was placid like Joe. It was a complicated story. Any way, I am glad that he was finally happy in secondary school and especially in the university. Children from the academy showed him respect and asked to let him go on the bus first. He never told me anything different. It's difficult as I couldn't send him to a special needs unit as he could be beaten up and the staff would say, "Well, they are autistic!" Also, they don't have to have a rigorous syllabus .. I wish I could start again.

They're related but not the same parents, but the same line. I don't know that it is, but i can't stop thinking about it. He could have broken it about 3 weeks ago,he found a small piece of bone on his walk. But he hasn't had any symptoms until now.

Children can be so horrible.Especially in primary school. But at least he got on better later on. Do they still have the special needs units? When they're more mature they understand better. You did all that you could. Don't feel bad about it.We can always look back and say,i wish i did this and i wish i didn't do that. What you said about him, he's a nice boy. You did alright. Chris packam didn't get diagnosed until he was 40.

Might be a good idea to muzzle the dog out walking so that he won't eat anything horrendous .. save money on vet bill.

Yes, don't know what's wrong with kids in schools. Some can be horrible. Look at my neighbour and you can tell why. When I complained about holes in the fence, the woman put on a put-upon face as if I were the troublemaker. She told the police that these holes happened years ago. These uneducated police community officer used her exact sentences, "but it happened ages ago"! Hello, these police officers should have said to her, "We should all teach our children to respect others' properties!" Actually, it happened only two months ago, when her 24 years old played football with her grandkids.. (horrible that they now have 3 generations of brats!) If you complained about the older kids, she would tell the police that "Well, they are over 18 year olds and I can't be held responsible!" That sort of parents we have in this country. And the stupid police officer repeated the same sentence to me. With parents like these, what do you expect of their children?

Even this other neighbour told me he had to replace his fence TWICE and he's friendly with them.
