I knew someone had told me Choisya was named for someone. had a little rummage on google and found this:-

"Genus name honors Jacques Denis Choisy (1799-1859), Swiss botanist and professor of philosophy at Geneva.

Two pretty pink flowers, I am not usually big on pink, but both of those are lovely.
Mrs. FDR has always been a heroine of mine, Ms. Streisand not so much.

George Burns was offered 5 pictures of unnamed roses to pick one named for him. When he picked his favorite they asked him “Why that one?”. He said “It made me smile”
Then Armstrong Garden Center had a promotion to name another rose the same year. It was a white floribunda with a pink center. The winning name was………..Gracie Allen.
Neither the Burns’s nor the roses look like they really go together, but now they do.
