More another day. took 900 shots. certainly will not load up that many. we started in Edinburg, looped North way up to Isle of Skye, and then through the Highlands to end in Glasgow. Beautiful open country shots. Later.

Looks like I still need to put more pixs up. must have forgot. I have the whole country roads way up north to get on. Anyway, May 2018 trip locked down. Away again to Key West, from May 11 to the 21.

I haven't had much time to get on the forum recently as I tend to be involved in lots of things, do a lot of travelling and, more recently, been rebuilding my computer after a hard drive crash (everything is backed up three times but getting them loaded and running the way I like is a bit of a nightmare).

Since the last holidays that I mentioned on here we have been travelling through France (went to Giverny to see Claude Monet's garden). Monet's garden is famous for a lot of his paintings. Especially his lily pond and bridge

The lilies weren't, yet, in full flower but I spotted one

and this lovely little fellow

We've also been to Sicily - you may recognise Bar Vitelli (from the film) owned by the father-in-law of The Godfather

and the church where The Godfather got married

Toured ancient Greek, Roman and prehistoric sites in Italy (Herculaneum), Cyprus, Rhodes, Malta, Gozo, and biblical sites in Israel

Wailing Wall

Galilee

And have recently returned from Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur and from touring 2,500 miles through Rajastan.

Meeting with the locals - as usual

Went for a camel taxi ride into the desert for an evening folklore show and dinner

Taj Mahal - fantastic building

Went to a local wedding

And to an animal sanctuary

We enjoy wandering the colourful streets and markets. There are, usually, no sidewalks in the centre of big towns so you need to keep your wits about you when walking.

We enjoy travelling a lot of the world and especially the out of the way places. I've just been arranging a trip to Burmah. We shall go up the Irrawaddy to Mandalay and tour the back country on the way back.
