@Verdun, what are the spiky pink flowers, in post #122? I saw it at the water's edge while visiting my sister and thought it was a wild thing, but now I'm wondering if it's an escapee from someone's garden!!

Hello Mary Mary, its persicaria amplexicaulis fat domino.....not sure the photo does it justice. The colour is deep red
Above some anemones with hosta, restio, agastache and Sanguisorba. A sitting area with lots of heliotrope, honeysuckles and jasmine....even a couple of night scented zaluzianskyas

This is one of the most underused native plants with the "coneflower" label.
Long-headed Coneflower is probably my favorite of all the "coneflowers" as far as appearance goes. Especially the red and yellow variety, but I've also seen the all-yellow and all-red varieties and they are equally as stunning. As I said in my previous post, it's a plant I want more of. Now that my garden has been going for four years, I'm starting to learn a lot more about how I want my garden to look, and which plants I want large groupings of. It will be many more years before I get it how I want it, but it'll get there eventually.
