do you core and quarter them or just freeze?I dont bother canning I just freeze them. Makes great salsa but needs to boil longer if you want a thicker salsa.

I just rinse them off, bag and freeze. I bag them so they stay flat in the freezer bag. That way I can easily stack them in the freezer.do you core and quarter them or just freeze?
Do they become mushy when they thaw out? I'm going to do some over the next few days but am thinking I'll toss them in the blender since they will be used for soup, salsa, etc anyway and put them in ziplock bags, enough for a portion in each bag. Yes they become mushy and watery when thawed out. The peel tends to stay in large pieces so it should be blended at some point if it bothers you.Do they become mushy when they thaw out?
