Annoyed with YouTube as I can't watch any videos.

I've had a channel for sixteen years, featuring hobby interests. Gardening, Japanese koi, vintage audio, vinyl jukeboxes, music, hedgehogs.
Viewers with adblockers that prevent the adverts on any site, are now excluded from watching any videos including their own.

They can watch them without adverts, if they are willing to pay
That's not unreasonable. Considering how much I watch stuff on YouTube which isn't that much, £1 a week would seem reasonable.

But £12.99 a month?

That's just being greedy.

No thank you!

'bye YouTube!

For anyone who uses an adblocker, this is what will happen.

You'll eventually get this pop-up when you go on YouTube

Ad blockers violate YouTube's Terms of Service

  • It looks like you may be using an ad blocker. Video playback is blocked unless YouTube is allowlisted or the ad blocker is disabled.
  • Ads allow YouTube to be used by billions worldwide.
  • You can go ad-free with YouTube Premium, and creators can still get paid from your subscription.
  • Try YouTube Premium
For a while there will be an "X" at the top right corner of the pop-up. You can click on this and the pop-up will disappear and you can watch your video. The pop-up will appear again next time you go on Youtube. So you can repeat the process. But after a few more times the pop-up will tell you can only view six more videos, so you can click on the "X" again, but there will be a "count down" every time you go on until you just get the pop-up and the X will have disappeared.

You won't be able to watch any YouTube videos on here.

Have VPN? If the connection is giving that error try switching locations.
Just like if it's a pay to read and turning off Java.
Corporate Bloat will do it every time. Amazon is now what $120 a year and the Prime Video is almost all ads for other pay or with commercial channels.
Not only is two day delivery mostly dead out here now the high price for mostly useless selections.
Remember there is a reason for BitTorrent. Rise up and Rage against the Machine

Yeah, a lot of online newspapers do that, "Disable Your Adblocker" to see their site. Some have removed that because they lost too many veiws. I can still get around That new banner YT put up...I us a desktop to surf the web. I hate using my cell phone...Heck, I still have a land line in my home! But yeah, I've gotten over being mad at the internet....If You Really want to get upset talk politics...Secret there is you'll change Nothing....I'll still be thankful for YouTube though when I need to change a water pump or fix the clothes dryer...

Here's a surprise, I received this today. It must be an automatic update with Firefox.

I've been previously unable to access YouTube for a couple of weeks.

So I went on YouTube, I've always deleted their cookies every time I close down my laptop so I got the usual pop-up pleading with me to accept cookies, on which of course I clicked on "decline," as usual, as I'd get over 100 of them, then logged in and chose a video which I was able to watch.

It looks like this might be the start of a ****ing contest between blockers and YouTube.

I await developments.

Meanwhile....
