Watching TV, there was an advertising break and this was used in a commercial.

I was surprised, but after thirteen years, after the more than a billion hits over several uploads, it was going to get used to sell something as do many recordings. I've always liked Kelly Rowland, she can sing anything.

I've always liked it, despite the fact that it's a nothing and repetitive tune, maybe that's why.

It earned a place in one of jukebox wallboxes, that play mp3s on old iPods through my vintage hi-fi and big speakers.

For those who can remember the days of 45s, as you can see, I don't have to have any rubbish "B sides."

So I just had to put it on!

Trawling through YouTube, I came across this, which I've seen before but not for several years, the music is by Hall and Oates, a tune written by Daryl Hall. The more popular version in the UK was by Paul Young.
It is the background music for clips from the film "The Rebound" a pleasant romantic comedy.

The classic pitch correction that people notice is that in Cher's "I believe."
Pitch and auto correction is used mostly for people who can't sing and can't hold long tones. It's been done for best part of two decades.

I've always admired people like Andrea Motis, as she can sing in tune and hold long tones. She was trained to do it as she's also a trumpet and saxophone professional.

Back in the day, we had none of that, as it wasn't needed.
Well, in some instances it was, as without, it bacame "take 2" or whatever.
Sarah Vaughan was called "Miss Perfect Pitch," because of her ability.
Sinatra used to "slide into the notes," part of his vocal appeal.

What amused me was the documentary on, Stock, Aitkin & Waterman.

Pete Waterman said Bananarama came over to his label and they recorded a couple of takes of a new song.
He told them that'll do. They queried it as they said with their last label they were recording the same song for three days. He said he didn't need to. Between the two takes he could manufacture a good performance with the technology they now had. Now how long ago was that?
