I am getting some proper steady rain now. If I could hear it hitting the sunlounge roof (not in the form of hailstones though!) , I will be well pleased.

The only thing now is that everything is wet and i can't pick any fruit. The blackberries go over quickly. Never satisfied are we.

It's a shame that they failed to predict rain. I picked all my blueberries the day before yesterday as they predicted rain. I remember there was not a single bitter cherry left in my neighbour's tree AFTER rain, so I take this lesson very seriously. You could pick them and spread them out. I'd rather have rain. You should have been my lawn and plants - cracks, bald patches and wilting and dying plants.

A distinctly cooler day. The window panes retain some rain droplets, but the ground has begun to dry up

This afternoon at 3pm had a good thunderstorm with hail stones. Just missed being out in it.
Heavy rain at 5pm.

37c certainly calls for a very cold shower! We moaned like hell for 33c and some Brits go to Greece, Portugal or Spain for 38c ...

See the drop! I am waiting for hotter weather to wash my boots .. Need hot weather for cleansing and DRYING! Need to find out where to store my water and how to reduce evaporation. I admire the man with 18 water butts.

Finally finally finally a nice steady rain. I hope the cycle of deluge and drought is over for the year.
