We have some persistent snowing and now it is so warm behind the treble glazed window that it feels like spring. The same cannot be said of any other rooms..

The back of my garden looks exactly like Zenji's - a blanket of snow. Even the hellebores can't be seen.

Amber warning for you, zenji. Next 24 to 48hrs!

We have feather snow and the feathers went in all sorts of directions. Now it has stopped. I think Zenji and Upsy will get the tough ends of the straw tomorrow and the day after.

Another dreary day ahead! And the sun will be shy the whole week ahead!

Hundreds of drivers spend 13 HOURS trapped overnight in their cars in -16C temperatures by Storm Emma's bitter blizzards as Red Cross hands out blankets and food to shivering passengers stranded overnight at Glasgow Airport
  • Storm Emma will meet the Beast from the East's chilly Russia air over Britain as it rolls in from the Atlantic
  • Drifting snow has caused misery for motorists and police say 'most roads' in Lincolnshire are impassable
  • Motorists on M80 near Glasgow were stuck for up to 13 hours with some spending the night in their cars
  • Temperatures drop to -16C in worst period of weather experienced in Britain since the 'Big Freeze' of 2010

I think people from colder climes must think we are drama queens! LOL!

It's snowing here and very very windy.

We are very calm here and I think will remain so for the day. I took some ice from the garden and this morning, it is still in ice form. Hope you don't get caught in the terrible mess, Logan! Get a proper water proof hat please and a scarf. A proper scarf, thick socks will make a lot of difference.
