Here we have Hard Water and really need some kind of Filter. I can't have any Salt.

Salt puts me in very bad shape in the Hospital with swelling and Ulcerations.

Our other place has Well water.

Use a distiller? Common, last forever, stainless steel etc.
I thought distillers were made out of skin and bones.

A former neighbor was prone to kidney stones and during his stint in naval aviation he learned to take a stainless steel distillery with him to the various places like the pacific islands and cuba as the local sources varied wildly. It was in the downstairs basement plumbed up to his refridgerator water. He and his wife were also retired resturantuers and knew their way around both ice and iced beverages. I worried about the nylon pipe run upstairs and mentioned he should use copper probably as I had a plastic pipe split on a water fountain at work and the leak tore up the papery Kirkland store inventory in the warehouse next to mine. He said oh no he had made that mistake when he first got the rig and after some time he touched the copper pipe and it crumbled. That is a lot of copper to ingest. I had never thought about the pH of pure water until then.

It was not this one but similar:

You would have very low PH.

I was just talking with a woman at the Extension Center she said to quit my worrying that the water has very safe levels and go ahead and use it. Keep an eye on my soil and Bugs.

We use mostly PVC but most are using PEX anymore.
