Type of thorny tree?

I don't think we're far off the mark now but it has to be a fruit tree, even if it doesn't produce fruit. :confused: Is the tree at the side likely to bloom do you think? Any flowers would help identification.

No idea. I hadn't been here long enough and the neighbors don't recall. They moved in not long before we did.

Black locust? Do the thorns develop into new branches? That’s how ours look. Great burglar deterant, but can cause nasty infection.
