Daren: Those tulips are fully open and will be on their way out. Are you sure the pixie sleeps all day, not that you're too lazy to prop him up!:eek::D:p;)?

I still have some very buggy violet, blood red frilly edged tulips. They came with the plain white ones which are equally BUGGY. I wonder what makes the supplier think it is a good idea to pair the two together as they are constantly covered with aphids, so many that I don't really want to take pic of them.

Must say tulips are much more interesting than daffs..

Hi guys! I read that both tulips and hyacinth can be grown indoors in pots, do you know what the blooming season is? I think they would both be perennials where I am. They are gorgeous! @Logan I love the pot with both together.

Oops I guess I meant hyacintus the plant. You had them mixed in with your tulips didn't you?

I have found it difficult to keep hyacinth compact and bushy year after year. @Logan apart from choosing the biggest bulbs, what else did you do to keep them so nice this spring?

@alp I only take the old flower stems off. I don't feed them and i leave them in the ground. Don't take the leaves off, let them die down naturally. The flowers do flop over after a time, but don't worry about it.:)
