Matt white reflects more useful light than something reflective like tinfoil.
I would have expected flower trusses to be appearing by that stage, branching out from the stem at intervals in between the leaves, maybe I just can't spot them.

Yes, all three are flowering now. The middle one's flowers opened first - You can see them near the top on the left hand side in the last photo.

The one on the right has two main stems as it split and had quite a bit of growth before I read that you shouldn't allow that to happen. Anyway, I left it and now both have flower trusses. So it should give a nice comparison with the other two if I'm lucky enough to get any fruit.
