Fall Blue Lake pole beans.

Had a mediocre harvest in spring but the nice thing about Texas is you get a second chance.

First fall picking and should get two more pickings

Should make total of about 15 quarts of canned green beans for the winter.

Fall is also a great time for growing all kinds of peppers in Texas...

Yep. Here is my score. I grew Blue Lake Pole beans too. I'm thinking you burn more calories than what you get to eat out of the deal. I've figured up that it takes around 2.4 gallons of picked green beans to equal a quart of beans.

Mine is a little darker than yours. How did you do yours?

LOL, I guess that's why I always like to add new potatoes to the pot when cooking green beans...adds more calories that I don't need.

Yours look great...gotta love Blue Lakes.

More Bok Choy. HK container or garden?

Anyone have any favorite uses of Bok Choy other than stir fry which we like?

Looks like I'm the only one interested in Today's pickings. Oh well...I endeavor to persevere...

This time of year, we get a delightful mixed bag of veggies including hot weather ones and cool weather ones.

Today I cleaned out 1/2 row of pinkeye peas and a couple of different pepper plants and some radishes for color and some spinach for taste...and one lonely cucumber not shown.

Maybe, you're the only one with anything worth showing.

I really doubt that...but good to see someone is still looking. :)
Things tend to slow down now in the UK, where most of our veg are happy in the ground until picked.
My leeks, cabbages, neeps, brussels sprouts & parsnips will stand happily until March, yet the ground is seldom so hard that they cannot be accessed as required.
