I once found one in our shower D: A little frog :ROFLMAO: My mom was ready to step on it, but I was on time to take it outside to a safe place. He was very tiny, I later read it was a type of frog that was kept as pet by a lot people. I wish I had knowb, I'd like to have kept it as a pet.
Haha, that must have been surprising! It's great that you saved that little frog. I'm sure it didn't want to be killed;)
It would be a cute pet!

Yes, just yesterday they found another toad, this one was all ''warty'' they told me those that through those warts a very irritant liquid comes out, no wonder the cat now ignores them :ROFLMAO: If you think of this frogs are much nicer, I had no idea those warts were used for something

My son just brought me a good sized toad for the garden last weekend. When he was a child we would wait for the toads to start their migration away from the creek bed . When it got dark we would go out for a walk and catch a few, my son would put them in his pocket and when we got home we would release them in the yard. One year there were so many hopping in the lawns I had to get a grocery bag, we caught about 8 nice ones.

This was the first year in many years that I have not seen any toads in the yard, I do hear them in the area. i am not sure how long they live but I know we have had some really big ones in the past. Now that I have a new neighbor with a little boy I think I might have to get him to catch a few for me. they really do keep the bugs down.

Lol, it looks like you got new guests and they are there to stay  They look so comfy in that pot, lol. But they don't dig any plan ts or something like that, right?
They only eat pests, they don't damage anything. Today I had five with me while I watered. Two of them were in that tiny pot haha!

I'm jealous of you folks with toads and frogs! I don't know why I haven't had any here in the last couple of years. Do toads eat slugs? We're having a banner year for slugs. Or maybe the slugs ate the toads and frogs. :ROFLMAO:

Next spring I may buy some leopard frog tadpoles (native here and I've had them in my yard) and maybe some toads. I like the big old fat toads. Used to be one that lived in my side yard, giant thing and he was always in the same place sleeping during the day

Me too BethB. I'd like them to keep the slugs down but I'd have to get little pond of some sorts so they'd stay. I don't want the grass to look greener......!:D I used to enjoy listening to the frogs when we had a pool which wasn't swimmable in the off season unfortunately for us but fortunately was for the frogs.
