the smell?

Chuck, I think you hit on why so many are having trouble with the smell of the compost. I turn mine frequently, it gets plenty of air, and it doesn't smell at all. At least not until I get out there with my gazunder!

So, I'm gathering from this thread that aeration is a total MUST when it comes to composting. And also urine is an unexpected but welcome addition. Would this be an everyday thing or would that just make everything too nitrogen rich?

Personally I refuse to piss in my pile. Mother Earth gets along quite well IMO without any added help from me
