Yeah it looks like themThe sunflower folks seem to think these are Asiatic Garden Beetles. I think they're similar enough to be pretty much the same thing. I'm going to find some beetle control product, give it a try, and maybe see if I can get a sunflower to grow starting from mid– summer. I do have a lot of these things, so maybe I need something longer term, too (maybe nematodes or friendly beetle eating critters?).
