I grow a lot of triple sweet corn and in fact it feeds my family most of the year.
For picking sweet corn, I use the milk stage harvesting method. About two to three weeks after the silks appear puncture a kernel near the middle of the cob and check the liquid that comes out. That's for my zone 8 growing climate which is warm and humid. Yours may be different as you don't show a growing zone.
A milky liquid coming out is perfect. If it’s too watery, it’s still early. If no liquid comes out it’s past prime harvesting time. It takes a little experience but soon you can apply perfect timing every time.
You mentioned kernels at the tip of the ear….don’t worry about those…they don’t always mature and fill out.
