Sorry, I couldn't resist that. Actually filling in some of those gaps between turfs would be no bad thing. You could get a bag of top soil somewhere like Wickes. Did they put down a layer of top soil and level before they laid it? There are all sorts of products on the market for such things which are mixtures of soil, grass seed and fertiliser, but it is the expensive way of doing it and the grass should spread and cover small gaps like that quite quickly, for plants.
The other disadvantage of seeding is that you really shouldn't mow until the new plants are well established, so maybe towards the end of Summer when it can still sprout and will have 'til the Spring to establish itself
When we moved in here the lawn was full of moss. By the time I had got rid of that last summer there were bare patches maybe a a foot square. The largest couple I dug out and filled in with a split up turf. I transplanted the odd bit of meadow grass I came across weeding into the others. It looked pretty terrible, but by this Spring everything is evenly covered, and it looks like a lawn now I have given it a gentle rake and a first mow.
