BBC 1.9pm. NEW DRAMA. TRUST ME 1/4ep
In her first role since being named as the 13th doctor in Doctor who.Jodie Whittaker stars as Cath Hardacre,a nurse whose life goes into meltdown after she complains that standards at the hospital where she works are slipping.Struck off the nursing register.Cath assumes the identity of a doctor friend who is emigrating to New Zealand. But how far is she prepared to go.

I saw this in the trailers and I'm not impressed.
Birds of paradise is about Frank Gardner's quest to see birds of paradise in real life. And his enabler is Benedict Allen (surname could be wrong!) Of course, with a wheelchair, things can get very difficult, considering the swamp and muddy terrain.. The cruellest bit is about the initiation to the indigenous people which Benedict went though when he was a teen. You could die from it. The first one is a bit slow. But I understand Gardner's urge to see the real McCoy! Truly one on my bucket list ..

BBC aren't allowed to repeat all the films on iPlayer.
On E2 of Birds of paradise. Didn't know that Frank Gardner had been so badly injured. He was shot about 5 or 6 times and he had bullet fragments in his body, metal rod in his leg and he has to carry colostomy bag. I really admire his passion and his desire to see through this arduous journey.
I cried when Frank Gardner said that his dad said he would go watching birds of paradise with him. He's no longer around. Such an expensive journey and he only captured 2 sightings.
