Watched the Truth About Getting Fit,very interesting. Somebody said that doing 1000 steps a day will make us fit. They found out that it's hard to fit a 1000 steps in a day. Also it's better if we do 3 X 10mins of brisk walking. If we build our muscles they will store more glucose in them instead it going round our bodies and causing diabetes 2. If we learn dancing it helps us solve puzzles and other things faster.

Yes I watched that too @Logan very interesting . When I worked in childcare I always took the little peeps out somewhere every morning come rain or shine, and always on foot. I had a pedometer and still at the end of a long and busy day , rarely did it record 1000 steps. .... Certainly felt like I had walked them though:D:ROFLMAO:

Bonfires...hate them ( but hubs does have them occasionally:()
I can absolutely guarantee that no sooner have I hung out the laundry that somebody over in the allotments has got one going...grrrrrr!!!:(

You should tell them not to start it after sunrise and before sunset. It's the law. I hate them too, but after living here for 22 years, just too much wood and the previous owner left us with quite a bit as well. We were inexperienced and didn't ask them to clear everything. Now I know. Chalk it up to experience.

Yes, to do half an hour on the bike nearly killed me. So I do 4 times a day. Less painful and good for morale!

Just as I went out, it started to rain and is raining steadily now. Can't complain. Has been a lovely day, albeit a bit cold.

Can't open the link @alp:(,

On the Government website it states that there is no law in regards to having bonfires except for the fact that household waste can't be burnt as it would contain dangerous pollutants and endanger public health. Even in smokeless zones it says this refers only to the requirements of fuels used in private dwellings and commercial premises and does not include bonfires . Politeness and good manners should be applied when lighting bonfires . It is unlawful to allow bonfire smoke to drift across a road.

Whatever ...........!!! Just think everyone should show neighbourly consideration before lighting up... ......you're a star @alp ,so wish you were my neighbour and not the allotments:D:ROFLMAO:(y)

No ,nearby but not under S'oton Council.

You wouldn't want to be my neighbour. Last few nights, you would be gassed to death .. just as how I have been gassed since 2 Christmases ago. Son suggested we postpone doing the little wall. I said no as I don't want to stay here. Housing market is slow. Meanwhile, I will still plant my irises in their happiest spots and when time comes i.e. when they flower, I will remove them as there are too many thieves and my front area is like an invitation to removal of lovely plants.

Great! I love the idea of watching boxset. When I was watching that series with Elizabeth Moss (detective), I could finish the whole series without having to wait week after week.

McMafia is disappointing. Norton's expressions can't be read and the story is getting farcical. But glad that 2 more episodes later, I will know the ending. Just how do you justify an honest man who would trade dirty money suddenly turning into a mover of serious drugs?

Oh crumbs! I need to seed some delphiniums.

Didn't watch McMafia after the first episode.
I watched 1 episode of Girlfriends, didn't bother with the rest. Looked a bit like Mistresses that was on BBC 1 a few years ago.

Animals with cameras.. I'm not keen on seeing a lovely meerkat with an artificial gadget on its body!

Can someone else articulate my displeasure seeing this?

Agree @alp........must feel very strange and uncomfortable for them too. I'm really surprised that in this age of such advanced hi- tech that is constantly being developed that they can't devise something a lot smaller and less cumbersome looking!!
