I do know that some of the wild ones will grow in zone 6 or lower, not sure if you could find them in the wild in your area. Check to see if you have a wild flower society in your area, they could tell you more about them. I do know its against the law here to pick the flower or remove the plant, mine was from a wild flower garden and not in the wild.
