Guys this is all great advice and the photos are awesome.
I have to apologize for not being more clear.
I want to keep the rocks but want to fill in between the rocks with (preferably) something that grows, can stand up to a lot of water and a bit of foot traffic.
Grass does grow here nicely in early spring but then starts to look like crap once the crabgrass stuff starts to take over.
I was hoping to plant something like a creeping thyme or similar to keep the area "green" or growing with something.
It starts to become a mess in the late summer with the crabgrass and bare spots.
I was going to dig the whole area out, lay down some weed block then fine stone and place the rocks back down but decided to go with something ALIVE.
The area needs to stay flush with the yard.
Two other things I would like but are not absolutely necessary are I would like a flowering plant and somewhat resistant to dog urine.
I dont care if it's invasive, grows too quickly or covers the stone.
I keep going back to the creeping Thyme.
