@johnny canoe The bark mulch surely cheers up the area. Have you got any Chinese blood in you?.. so many Chinese artefacts. It looks so nice.

Love the colour of that begonia .. so exquisite. I have some open but they are quite banal. I think they are the illumination series. I'm not very keen on that. Have been cutting down the allium and want to get rid of the Christophii. Hopefully, I can scatter my own Purple sensation and have them instead. Weeded for nearly an hour.

@Upsy Daisy Have you gone for your tea? I never bought tea until my ex bought me one last Thursday. I can't be bothered buying tea as I myself make better ones. Friend said we should go for one one day. But when I found out the price of coffee, I was not amused. Nearly 2 quid .. See, I live in poverty .. I usually take drinks when we go for holidays. I even took my Brita filter kettle with me.

Good morning to all all drop by: Not so cold as last night, but very little rain. What a shame. All that terrifying noise about tons of rain with neon blob on London, turned out to be nothing. The 230L butts are only 2/3 full..:cry:

Enjoying Spring Watch enormously. It's a programme about wildlife

Here we have a bee using its legs to massage or calm the female - tonic immobility, very educational and informative

Morning!!
Glad to see you are feeling better now @alp, mind you it was a nippy evening yesterday I snuggle up on the sofa with a fleece blanket! In June!!!!!

How are things with you Logan?

Well I'll have to make myself venture out into the garden soon to see the damage caused by the wind and rain.......Not looking forward to it, I know for a start that the Buddleja has snapped a large branch:cry:.
After such a blustery night here's hoping for a Tranquil Tuesday for all (y):)

Haha! @Upsy Daisy Have you tried your hands at writing yet? Tranquil Tuesday! You beat us to it. I haven't heard anything noisy. In fact, it's only after 7.30 that the rain has begun to fall seriously. I have a leaked gutter.. on the roofline.. What a to do!

The wind has dislodged quite a bit of moss and growth from the roof; otherwise, just the plants have had a bit of buffeting. It was cold, especially when the loft door has been open.. I was in a gilet, a thick fleece jacket and a blanket for the legs.. This used to be a very warm house.. I hope I don't need to spend winter in here.

@Upsy Daisy, hi ya. I'm fine thanks. How are you?
@alp, you can have our rain, it's been none stop. It's still raining. Getting a bit fed up with it now. Ordered seeds come in about 7 days. If i order 5 packets i get the cheepest one free and get 2 free. But i don't know what they will be.

I must hold my horses as I don't want to have any more trays hanging around.. and now I feel left out! Haha! I want to grow a little bit of radish as I had it in our salad in our cookery course. Trouble is you will have tons of them in a packet. Can't always been. Planted some spinach - never saw one that I could eat and bang one bolted and had seeds and tall like an allium.

Won't be able to go out as it is raining gently here. The longer the better as I have buried some dwarf purple teepee beans (don't ask me what they are)! I had my first purple mange tout on Thursday as they self seeded and some more Kenney Mange tout yesterday.

We have sun!....must get the laundry hung out as we have more rain on the way later. Will definitely have coffee and cake at Ikea this afternoon , told hubs that I NEEDED it ,after seeing my poor battered garden ;);)

I'm good thanks @Logan, not sure about the leg though....bit of a funny colour now.....could be a good sign...I hope;)

I've started looking through my seeds in preparation for next year's showings......love all the anticipation.......:D

We have alot of surrounding trees and at one point last night the noise they created blowing about in the wind was soooo loud it woke me up. I love hearing it though and as we sleep with all our windows open I got up and sat and watched and listened...

Off now...catch you all later:)

@alp, you can eat the flowers of rocket and all the salad leaves and lettuce. Just done some of my wallflowers. Sown them like this,3seeds in each one and thin them out. I find if i do it in a seed tray, then prick them out,i loose a lot. I'll just pot them on.
