If it gets pollinated it will be. Do you have any male flowers? If not it will turn yellowish and fall off.

Yes there’s male flowers all over. We had 3 days heatwave and bees everywhere :giggle:
I’ve got 22 cuke plants this year in grow bags and 6 in the ground.
Only did 2 slicing. The rest are for pickling.

You are way ahead of me, my best plant is maybe six inches tall.
I started earlier this year. I have more in the seedling room so I can harvest mid summer and again early fall.
Last year my daughter and I did dozens of jars of pickles and they were gone before Christmas lol

This years first little harvest. We’ve had near record breaking temps this last week and everything exploded in growth !

Those look good. What type(s) do you prefer to grow?
National pickling and Boston pickling are my favorite for pickling types.
I’ve only recently started experimenting with slicing / salad types.
National pickling gives me more fruits earlier but Boston keeps giving well into fall :)

I'm jealous. Fermented or quick?
Quick for these. First batch is always basic fridge pickles :giggle:
My family is waiting for the spicy dills (once my cayennes come in) and bread and butters ( my personal favorite)
These were unusually early. We’ve had a very warm spring .
The downside is it hasn’t rained in over a month and we live in wildfire zone :nailbiting:

@Eeilee what do you add to yours for crunch? I buy some kind of pre mixed stuff and it works okay on little pickles but big ones don't get that crunch I want. Bernardin it's called. Maybe I don't put enough.

I am referring to the really big pickles. I always wanted to go to a renaissance fair but never have. If I did, I would get one of those giant pickles I always see in videos and pics that make me drool. I've tried to make them but can't get the crisp crunch.

I love those state fair pickles too!
I’ve never tried making them huge.
I harvest mine at a fairly small size and put them in ice water overnight.
That seems to help with crispness.
I’d love to try making the big ones but the few times I’ve missed one or two cucumbers growing hidden on the vine they always are yellowish and seem to lose flavor.
