Nice. Good to see some friendl good humour.

On the subject of Medicks. Xmas 1979. I received a book as a gift. Wild Flowers of Britain & Northern Europe. By Margery Blamey &Co. The names to the pictures had been transposed on the Medicks. I wrote to Collins the publishers, got a nice reply and an assurance that future printings will be corrected.

I got a Texas Horse Crippler, they hide in lawns :)

I wonder why it is named that? I have the same cactus growing wild all over the place and there are also a lot of horses. I haven't seen any crippled horses lately.

Since we got them here we've not had a single horse on the land :)

This is one of the yellow hop-clovers, or hop-trefoils (Trifolium spp.). There are several closely related species, but the plant in the image looks very much like Trifolium dubium.
