I have had this plant for 10 months and it is starting to grow fuzzy hard white things on top could it just be the bark forming, or a desease?
I think it could be from bugs or over watering I don't know.
I recently replied to another thread on the Forums about this same issue. I'm still hoping to learn more about this phenomenon.

This substance is not scale insects.

Jacaranda mimosifola is known to exude a waxy or crystalline leaf exudate under certain circumstances. I do not know the composition or cause of the exudate, nor whether it is a normal occurrence of a healthy plant or a response to poor health. There are numerous papers available online concerning the anatomy and biochemistry of Jacaranda, but I have not found a scientific description or explanation of this phenomenon.
