My garden doesn't require much care, so on some days I spent more time weeding but some days, I don't have to do anything but just admiring the blooms and how everything grows.
I only spend an hour a day in my garden, maybe even less but I do it everyday! Most of the time I spend de-rooting weeds, re-arranging some pots, watering and cutting some herbs. I also monitor the growth of my seedlings after a week I can maybe transfer my chili seedling into a pot now.
I am not really a garden person when it comes to work. All I want is to check on the harvests. But, of course, it is nice to see the garden and I enjoy looking at the plants. My husband is the one spending much time in irrigating and cleaning out the weeds. He is in charge of the plants because he has a green thumb. Maybe he spends about 2 hours a day for his routine that includes the maintenance of our extended garden.
the thing is, if I am in the garden the needs of the house get sacrificed. yesterday, I am raking and burning leaves for a good 4 hours. and its only the front yard, and not the whole thing yet. have not even started on the sides and the back. the burn pile is still smoking from all night of burning the leaves. All I have to do is heap another pile of leaves on it and poof goes the flames and we have fire.
another thread is out there " how much time do you spend " in your garden. same relevant principle. Just want to point that out. and it is older dated, want to say that also.
