How much time do you invest in your garden?

I spend almost 2 hrs everyday in my garden. Watering the plants, shaping them, then I pluck the dry leaves or withered leaves if there are any, take some beautiful flowers which could be used to decorate god's place, then vegetables for cooking, then cleaning the whole place. It all takes around two hrs and even though it takes a lot of time, I love this and I will not mind even if it will take all my day.
How about you? How much time will you spend in your garden?

I spend about the same time as you but more on the weekends since that is my time off. I am starting a small pond since i love fish keeping and i will probably spill even more hours in my backyard garden after it is completed =)

I spend about an hour during the spring, summer and fall every evening when I get home from work, but it is mostly just piddling around. The weekends is when I do most of my work.

I wish I could also have a small pond in my garden. I have never thought about it. Looking forward to hear from you about your pond soon. :)

I too do a lot of work during weekends. That is the only time when I do not have to worry about the fact that time is running out and I have other works also to do.

I am always there.. right in the middle of some work you will find me talking to my plants pulling out weeds, removing dead leaves and stuff. I am kind of obsessed with my balcony garden. I need to break free from that as it takes so much of my time.

Well, if i were you, I wouldn't break free from that. It is really a wonderful feeling to be a gardener and I am very proud of it. I am there for my garden anytime it wants me. I am sure you are the same and that is why you always keep going there time and again. Have fun with your balcony plants. :)

I can't ever seem to get out of my gardens until it's time to go to bed, but I keep adding another bed every year. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else then in my flower beds during the warmer months. I grew up on a farm so planting things is in my blood I guess. There is just something to be said for a hard working job well done that is very appeasing on the eyes. The miracle of growing things just can't be beat.

It depends, sometimes less, sometimes more. I wish I could spend more time in the garden but I'm often very busy, I need to study a lot. I have classes not only during the week but also on weekends so there isn't much free time left. I've just passed my exams so I have a few free days before the new semester but everything is covered with snow again:(

As much as i can but honestly my garden doesn't need so much of attention. It is very small, 4m * 4 m, and it has a fence so it is well protected. There is grass, several evergreen hedges, a little stone waterless pool with an old pot inside and the old spindle part where i hung two pots with the same flower i have all over my garden. It is so simple and easy to take care of. I like it simple, the order is doing good to my overall mental state.

I'm out in the garden by 8 am every morning starting in the spring, I take my cup of tea and walk around to see what needs a little work or see whats about to bloom or who needs some water.

It never ends. Between the spring awakenings, the clearing out of spent flowers for the next set, the weeding, the grass cutting the leaf raking way into February (if the snow holds) the pruning. Wish I did not have to work outside the home 50 hours. But, most my time is early morning, about 30 mins, then 30 mins in the evening in good weather, then parts of Saturday, and parts of Sunday, 4-6 hours each day. Sitting in the gazebo with wine is also a good thing. But if we get 28 inches of snow, that is it for the winter. Rest time.

That’s a good amount of time to spend each day. Unfortunately I get home from work when it is dark so I don’t go out into the garden that often during the week. I spend more time on the weekends.

A few times during the week I will go out to pick vegetables but I don’t do most of my gardening until the weekends when I have more time. At the beginning of each season it takes a good amount of time to plant everything, but other than that I feel like my vegetable plants are pretty easy to care for and don’t require that much time.
