You walk everyday? That a really amazing exercise (y) I started walking as well recently. Have you tried the ''Leslie Sansone'' videos? You can do an amazing walking workout with her videos! They do really make you sweat nicely and are great if you have injuries or can't try other workouts, yesterday I burnt 261 calories! Which is great, because I never thought you'd burn that much walking, but all her workouts equal to taking a really brisk walk! I thought they'd be too mild and boring, but they aren't :eek::eek: Btw, that was just the 3 miles walk... I guess the 6 miles walk can make you burn around 500+ calories?:eek:
Yep... everyday unless some issue comes up. :) I think we not only do it for the exercise, but also for the solace of being away for a bit, just the 2 of us. With the kiddos we are quite busy so it's nice to get away even just for a little while. :)

Walking is great exercise. Most people don't know that but if you pick up the pace your sweating in no time! I'm planning on checking out those videos for sure. I never really even though about doing something like that and I'm sure it's good to change things up a bit! Thanks for sharing that info with me!! I appreciate you. :)

I honestly would love walking outside, but sadly we don't have a good park nearby, there is a really good one, but it's very far  I truly miss walking in the mornings, being alone with my own thoughts, leaving my anxiety as I walk! Walking helped me a lot with the stress and anxiety! It's amazing, actually if I could I'd actually walk in the morning, then in the evening do the workout

You are welcome :) I think her videos would be helpful to you if something comes up and you can't exercise that day (y)

I go in spurts! I'll be super active for months, then almost go into hibernation for a few months. I'm getting ready to gear back up for activity.

What about you guys/gals? Do you workout? How often?
Yes, I do. About 1-3 times a week.

Because I am not very active and stay at home most of the time, if I do not exercise my body it will get so weak I won't be able to walk 100 m without getting my legs extremely exhausted. I can keep my body in top condition by exercising it at least once a week so I don't suffer when I need to go out and walk some meters/kilometers.

Does running around after kids count as being active? I try to do what I can, but I do not really have a workout routine established right now. I live in a 3 story house so I have thought about doing stair climbing.

I have a busy schedule at work, so I don't really have time to go to gyms or something like that. However, I make sure that I take a walk or run every morning. Sometimes, I do it with my dog.

I walk 4 miles a day most days because there's a bike/walking path behind my apartment that surrounds a canal. If you do a full walk around the entire canal, that's 4 miles.

I've been trying to stay in shape as much as possible these days, so I think I've been pretty active. 2 or 3 times a week I get a run and some work out in the gym in. I'm thinking I might want to make running part of my morning routine.

I am extremely active. I do all my commuting by bicycle, work in housekeeping, and I attend 4 ballet classes per week. I would not call commuting a work out though, I definitely sweat, but still, I sweat all the time, even when I don't think I'm working that hard. Some people say housekeeping is a really hard job, but for me, even after a good 6 hours I feel like I've hardly done anything physically. I need to lift serious weight or really run to feel like I've gotten exercise in my regular activities outside of dance.

This might be very off-topic, but since this is the general chat and I'm a very curious gal by nature... I know gardening doesn't really qualify as an exercise ;) So how active are you guys/gals?

By active I mean working out! I must admit the last month I wasn't active at all, it wasn't until this week that I actually started working out again :) Before that I was working out 5 days a week, but now I might be working out 3 days a week. Because I think that's a way more realistic goal.

What about you guys/gals? Do you workout? How often?
As we have just recovered from the cold air, I am slowly getting back into getting fit and going for walks on the pathways for an hour everyday not to pressure myself into anything too strenuous.

Awesome! 1 long hour walks are awesome for your health and fitness! It must be nice to have a place where you can go for a walk to, here we don't have any good place nearby :(

I am actually very lucky as my walk can be on the beach across the road from me. I do take it for granted but it is beautiful and I have the choice of seasand or nature reserve. That is sad Trellum, it is so nice to go for a walk and gt some fresh air!

I used to work out a lot like 4-5 times a week. I know it's not healthy, but sweating is active specially when I feel my fat burning. I would do work out challenges I found online and download work out videos. Since my grandmother died last September 7th, I'm off track. Lately I notice I'm gaining weight again. It is very true that dedication is inportant. I will work out perhaps after an hour. I will make sure not to let the day pass without working out.

Thats a good idea even if it gets you out for some fresh air it works! I love walking because I get to escape and feel the air and see the sunlight for my self. it makes me feel good and I get inspired a little more each day to walk a little further.
