I literally just saw a photo of a full broccoli plant for the first time in ever. Did not realize they were flowers.... even reading the post above it kinds passed me by somehow. Derp.
I have never thought about eating the leaves from broccoli or cauliflower. I do use the leaves from celery in my soup when I make home made soup. I will have to pay more attention to the leaves on plants, maybe throwing away some vitamins.
Home made soup sounds great right now: Our refrigerator is not working properly so I am trying to avoid leftovers. We are pretty much just grilling meat and opening a can of vegetables for meals. Of course we also have crackers and bread and such but no fancy, from scratch cooking.
