The four-for-a-dollar seed packets at Dollar General are a terrible deal for vegetable seeds. If you need cheap seeds go to Rite-Aid - the packets themselves are more expensive at maybe $1.25 but you get a lot more seeds in proportion to the amount of money you spend and the selection is a little better. Also, Dollar General sets out old seeds a lot of times. If you need a good selection in a hurry go to a hardware store, but expect to pay more than if you ordered online. Also, my local hardware store sells their old seeds at a discount rather than wasting them, so I plan on stocking up next spring.
