Happy Valentines Day Fellow Gardeners!

I received a new, beautiful miniature rose It's dark red and really lovely. My boyfriend told me that he is going running, but he went to a florist store instead and came back with a rose for me

Just stopping by to wish the community here a very Happy Valentine's Day.

Or as my brother likes to call it, Happy Singles Awareness Day.

So while we are on the topic of Valentine's Day, if you were to receive flowers today what would they be?

My husband is one of the most thoughtful men when it comes to being romantic,
he always tries to buy me flowers but if he buys me flowers today I would like to receive a mixed bouquet, I love so many flowers what when people ask me which flower is my favorite i have a hard time choosing, so a little of everything is ok for me.

oh.. now I get it.. a couple who doesn't celebrate heart's day.. I thought you were single sorry. I never knew any couple who don't celebrate so I guess it's quite rare. It's good you have someone special, some people would give anything to find theirs I wish you all the best and that your marriage last. May not always be smooth sailing but definitely lasting.

Thank you I hope so as well, we've had a rough time due his family, but I believe we are going to end up stronger As for valentines, hehehe, that has an explanation... we both believe Valentines is the result of shameless commercialism, so we don't really like to be part of that. Plus we believe any day is a good day to celebrate our love Like for example our birthday or our anniversary.

Aw that is sooo romantic! Hehehe! I love dark red, I bet your dark red miniature rose is gorgeous! I've always loved that color, actually dark red is the color of my nail polish right now =D Lovely color and so elegant, don't you think? Very classy!

My hubby and I are too in love every day of the year as well but is it not nice to know atleast one day a year one can expect flowers? lol. My husband is kind and thoughtful but hardly ever remembers I love flowers. ( unless I hint enough to make it his idea )

It is situations like that which makes your relationship stronger. The Valentine's being a result of commercialism is true too lol.. just earlier me and my folks were talking about the approaching Chinese New year. My mom believes when you eat "tikoy", it will bring luck and money. I think it's just another form of commercialism.. yes I think it brings luck.. mainly for the tikoy sellers

As for miniature roses, in my opinion they're the cutest little plants in the whole world! They're my obsession, I treat them as pets

We have not, I should try though. I like to take on new adventures with plants, fruits and veggies. Ever since I received "Gardening For Dummies" and lots of Youtube it is fun to try new things.
