Leaves look like Plantain.

It is indeed broad leaved plantain, otherwise often called Englishman's foot in America, because it is said that wherever the Englishman went this stuff grew (Zigs told me)

Elderberry?

Interesting fact about elder, it produces a chemical in the soil which stops other elders growing. There was a man on the radio who grows it commercially who said he left a field fallow for three years after growing, then fertilised and planted anew, and they just gave up the ghost and died.
