The late Grover Washington, (1943 – 1999) bought this CD when it was first issued in 1996.

Some great tracks on it. I find this one quite emotive.

This was made popular by the late Terry Wogan, who played it frequently on his morning show.

As a classic "jazz standard," it has been played and sung by so many other artists, so although I thought it quite pleasant, the fact that she was already dead by the time many heard it, probably added to it's appeal for some.

My two vavourites, are this by, the artist often described as "Miss Perfect Pitch."

Then by my favourite tenor saxophonist.

Linda Ronstadt, no longer singing as she developed Parkinson's.

An old Smokey Robinson song.

Accompanied by the jazz saxophonist David Sanborn.

Five years ago at age 10. Playing trumpet

This month at age 15. Vocals and alto sax. Nice to see other students of this band in Barcelona getting some exposure.

New video from the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.

The younger students being featured, though the trumpet solo is by fifteen year-old Alba Armengou.

It's an old Neil Hefti tune. Played quite slowly. I can hear Carla Motis on guitar.

I usually play this a bit faster.

Just got round to watching last week's episode of "Death in Paradise."

This pleasant little tune by a woman with a good voice, was used to close out the episode. Probably only ever heard it a couple of times, a few years ago, but I instantly recognised it. The lyrics were very apt given part of the story, I admire those that choose close out music, (when they get it right).
