:confused:Is their squawking very loud inspire of their small size? I imagine that they are quite rowdy with their faces upturned waiting for food impatiently.

They sound like a cat in heat, and I think that is why they are called catbird!! High pitch, and terrible sound :)

@Trellum It is funny that there was another user posted a comment right underneath her raving lunatic post about me in the thread, Growing Catnip!

Here are some pictures of the babies for you; I snick in to take them while the mom was out searching for food. I believe they are about four to five View attachment 7387 View attachment 7388 days old.

Ahh that thread? I did post as well :D I think I did it right after the other user? Lol, that reaction she had was a little bit too exaggerated :eek::cautious::censored:

By the way, your birds are gorgeous!!!! With those tiny feathered bodies that are starting to become more and more functional. Why do they look wet?

@Trellum We have more rainy days than I care to count this year! Their nest was exposed and I put some branches over it to keep them getting soak. The poor mother had to take it all. They have safely flew nest during one of those raining days. This photo was the last I took of them.

BTW-I told you she was a raving lunatic! She likes to feel the power of screaming at the screen of a computer but it only exposed her characters

Ah, lol, I was wondering why they looked like that, I just thought it was the shine of the camera! Poor things! We had a family of those tiny pigeons that actually look pretty:

They built a nest, but it was raining most of the time, and I always wondered how they could take all that. They wanted to build one this year as well, but I guess it didn't work.

Yeah, it was so uncalled for, it was kinda scary. I'd not call someone ignorant over doing something like that :censored::cautious::confused:

@Trellum those are beautiful pigeons and your picture is just fantastic! I was hoping to see the baby catbirds growing up a bit more, but with so much rain and the mother couldn't no long sat on them (lol) they had to get on! The nest wasn't too far off the ground, so I am sure they must be safe and hiding somewhere else. I checked the ground around the nest, but didn't see any feathers.

They are little pigeouns, I like the ones that seem to have a blue collar around their necks. They are not as messy as the big pigeons either, which is a huge plus for me. Oh, poor things! I hope they are fine, where do you think they could be hiding? It's a shame they couldn't stay longer! Could thy already fly well?

I have no idea where they went @Trellum and I don't believe I have seen the catbirds around my house before either until my son spotted the nest. I was really refreshing to learn another kind of bird around here :) I love it!
